Notable personal detailsAmie Baca-Oehlert is an educator and union leader who served as president of the Colorado Education Association from 2018 to 2024, and previously served as the union’s vice president. She has worked as an English teacher and as a school counselor in Colorado. In 2025 she launched a campaign for the Democratic nomination for Colorado’s 8th Congressional District, and later withdrew from the race in October 2025.
